At Charlottetown Community Radio, you can expect to learn more about your community, keep up to date on what's going on, in and around the city, as well as listen to talk about local businesses, and organizations.

QUALITY:
The audio quality of the show is set to a lower quality in order to provide access to as many listeners as possible. Not everyone has a high-speed connection, so the show is set for those with 56k modems in mind.
DESIGN:
Everyone has different tastes, and preferences when it comes to listening styles. The design of the site allows you to either listen to the whole show in one continuous manner by clicking on the "Hands Free" page, or you can go to each category page in order to hammer down the subject you would like to focus on, and listen to that section of the show only.
While listening to the show, you can go get things done around the house that need doing, or surf the net and catch up on emails in a new browser window.
ADVERTISING:
If you own a business or organization, you can send in the text you would like to have read on the air, or you can call and arrange for me to come and do an interview with you, where I will record the visit and air it on a specified date and time.
SCHEDULE:
The good thing about the internet is that the show is on, 24 hours, seven days a week for listener convenience. This means that they will pay closer attention to the content because they have come here of their own accord.
Also, with the listener having the ability to choose what they would like to listen to by topic, they are going to be more focused and maintain better retention overall.
The show is approximately 30 minutes long, and stays online for a two week period. After this two week period, the show will be moved to the archives page, where a description of the show and it's contents will be added, and the listeners can click on it to listen to it again.
That is some advertising time! It allows people who have heard about the show, to "get around to it" when they have the time in their busy schedule.
